Magimix Glacier 1.1 litre Ice Cream Maker Review

I have purchased the Magimix Glacier 1.1litre. It’s for sale in John Lewis for just shy of £50 but with my frugal head on I decided to save money and order it from another website I hadn’t heard of at £40 including free delivery.  I was very excited for my new little baby to arrive but it took a while and I was worried I may have made a mistake ordering from an unknown business.  But 9 days later it did arrive and I set to work.

Hoping to have ice cream done and dusted by the time family sit down for tea I keep getting held up.  A trip to Lidl especially for double cream was disappointing. What do you mean out of stock…I’m making ice cream!  Aah will this new machine ever get going?

Brainwave, the recipe book that came with it had a few sorbets and I had some of my dad’s blackcurrants frozen in the freezer from last year.  I decided to make sorbet instead,  blackcurrant and mint sorbet.

Easily confused by instructions (you might as well call them destructions in my hands), I managed to connect all the right pieces and found the recipes pretty appetising and interesting.

After 20 minutes churning and a couple of hours freezing, it was ready and was indeed totally delicious.  Well worth the faff! All in all, happy with the machine.
